Aims and Scope

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Qur'anic Studies (JIQS), a bilingual and peer-reviewed academic journal, aims to promote interdisciplinary studies of the Qur'an with a wide range of scholarly approaches and to provide an interdisciplinary platform for critical, innovative, and scholarly researches at the international level. 

The editors welcome research, review or case study articles on following fields:

•    Theoretical issues on:
Interdisciplinary studies of the Qur'an; The concept of Qur'an’s miracle, its reasons, aspects, and historical roots; methodology of evaluating the miracles of the Qur'an in different dimensions; critique of scholars' opinions on these issues.

•    Cases of interdisciplinary study of Qur'an and other sciences:
Interdisciplinary studies on all aspects of Quranic studies associated with different fields of science and humanities, such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, linguistics, management, literature, archeology, economics, ethics, philosophy, law, politics, history, physics, biology, geology, astronomy, meteorology, medical science, engineering and computer science. 

•    Cases of scientific miracles of Qur'an:
Proving the fulfillment of the conditions of scientific miracle in the verses that refer to the descriptions of natural or human phenomena from the perspective of various sciences.

•    Systems of the Qur'an:

Identifying, analyzing and presenting Qur'anic systems.

•    Computational Qur'an mining: 
Mining, extracting and processing Qur'anic words and concepts, and the relationships between them using data mining methods and algorithms, cryptography, pattern recognition, etc.
